Join us for a musical showcase of folk, traditional and chutney music at the long- awaited Chutney & Nagara Spectacular at Emperors Palace, featuring Flash Entertainers and Oriental Nagara & Chutney. Nagara has been traditionally known as a percussion instrument used for its rhythmic sounds at festivities.

Flash Entertainers has distinguished itself by winning the coveted South African Traditional Music Award (SATMA) with a record breaking of six times. This year marks 57 years of Flash Entertainers music excellence, with performances across the country, Flash Entertainers strives to ensure the love for Nagara music lives on for generations to come.

Proudly promoting the Indian heritage and culture very widely not only in Johannesburg but throughout South Africa, Oriental Nagara & Chutney is the only chutney and nagara band based in Gauteng and has since built a huge fan base. Having performed at numerous successful events, Oriental Nagara & Chutney have become a household name.

The hotel say at Mondeor is nice. Rooms always clean. Staff ate friendly. Buffet breakfast is pleasant with a wide selection of fruit, pastries, cereal, warm breakfast food like eggs, bacon, sausages etc. Coffee, teas, water and fruit juice available. Casino is vibrant with lots of restaurants for every need.

The conference centre service was lacklustre and the facilities are somewhat dated. The conference centre is close to the airport, but a nightmare to get to from anywhere else because of traffic.

Not so much the whole of Emperors Palace, more our hotel within it as there are many. It is rated 5 star but, sheets were dirty and service took forever.
