Tommy Oosthuizen Makes Comeback
Saturday, September 1, 2018
Boksburg’s Thomas “Tommy Gun” Oosthuizen made a successful comeback to the ring on Saturday evening, September 1 beating Thabiso “The Rock” Mchunu of Cato Ridge to claim the ABU Cruiserweight title in the headline bout of the “Call to Glory” Box and Dine Tournament at Emperors Palace. Oosthuizen, pictured here after his points victory against Mchunu with the Palace of Dreams’ Complex Operations Executive, Clive Tavener, now has his sights set on fighting IBO Cruiserweight world champion, Kevin “Two Guns” Lerena. A fight Golden Gloves’ Rodney Berman said, after Oosthuizen’s triumph, is on the cards for next year when Lerena has recovered from a shoulder injury.
