Saturday, June 23, 2018
South African boxing star, Thulani “Thulz” Mbenge added another title to his list of achievements on Saturday evening, June 23 when he knocked out Diego Gabriel Chaves of Argentina in the headline bout of the “Bombs Away” Box and Dine Tournament at Emperors Palace to take home the vacant IBO Welterweight world title. Here the Eastern Cape boxer is pictured with Peermont CEO, Nigel Atherton who was in the ring after the fight to present the new champion with his belt. The conference centre service was lacklustre and the facilities are somewhat dated. The conference centre is close to the airport, but a nightmare to get to from anywhere else because of traffic.

Not so much the whole of Emperors Palace, more our hotel within it as there are many. It is rated 5 star but, sheets were dirty and service took forever.
