A Day in the Kitchen for Young Aspiring Chef

On 30 August Emperors Palace was honoured to again host the Reach for a Dream Foundation to create a truly unforgettable experience for one lucky young girl. The initiative, designed to inspire and uplift children facing serious health challenges, saw 9-year-old Nozipho Ziqubu stepping into the role of a chef for a day in the kitchen of the Peermont Metcourt Hotel.

Along with her sister Thando, she was given the unique opportunity to work alongside chefs at the hotel, experiencing firsthand the magic that happens behind the scenes. Clad in an apron and chef’s hat, Nozipho prepared a series of dishes, including omelettes, cheese platter, stir fry and cupcakes which were enjoyed by family.

The highlight of the day was another of Nozipho’s dreams coming true as she was gifted a new laptop and accessories, which was the perfect finish to an extraordinary day. Emperors Palace’s is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of Reach for a Dream children and families, proving that sometimes the smallest gestures can create the most profound and lasting impacts.
