World Poker Tour Returns to Emperors Palace

Shuffleup Poker in conjunction with Emperors Palace is once again bringing world class poker tournament action to South Africa.

The 2020 renewal of the WPT Emperors Palace Poker Series is aptly named The Ultimate Poker Series. Tournament action begins on the 27th of March in the Theatre of Marcellus, which is without doubt the most famous poker arena in Africa.
Day 1 has two events starting with the R5 500 Semi-Freeze getting proceedings underway at 15h00. Event 2 which starts later that evening is the most expensive buy-in of the series at R70 000 and is known in poker circles as The Super High Roller.
Day 2 launches the first ever Cash Game Tournament which is a brand-new innovation of mixing cash and tournament poker together. This is a first ever and will deliver excitement and high stakes action for the players and followers of poker.
The series consists of 10 tournaments and with a buy-in of R500, and one of R1 000. There’s plenty variety for every poker enthusiasts.

There are over 50 satellites scheduled from the 21 February 2020 and with many of these being fee rolls there are opportunities aplenty to win your seat into the Main Series for small money and even without laying out any money.
The Main Event which is always the pinnacle of every series is a R15 000 buy-in and with a prize pool of R5 Million guaranteed it promises to be the biggest poker tourney in Africa, to date.
