Poker players and lovers of high stakes will have an opportunity to up the ante for the next edition of World Poker Tour National Championship® (WPT®), hosted at Emperors Palace for the fourth time. From 8 – 17 April the Theatre of Marcellus will be alive with adrenalin and all the poker action that is synonymous with the largest poker series on the continent.

During the 10 days of intense tournament action, a field of professional poker players and general poker enthusiasts, along with defending champion Wesley Wiegand, will take to the felt to win a share of the impressive prize pool of more than R10 million. Buy-in for the 10 events leading up to the Main Event ranges from R1 500 up to R 43 500 for the High Roller event. Buy-in for the WPT Main Event is an R11 000. With the official satellite tournaments already taking place, players who enter for R500 have an opportunity to win a seat in the Main Event and the High Roller.
