Dingalings guarantee a barrel of laughs at Emperors Palace

The Dingalings have become a household name in KwaZulu-Natal and have earned a reputation for their zany, off-the-wall comedy style. This laugh-a-minute comedy show in the Theatre of Marcellus will feature the musical genius of Ravi Soobramoney and comic giants Koobeshen Naidoo, Melvyn Davids Satchu Annamalai and Henry Ramkissoon.

Written and directed by comedy heavyweight, Yugan Naidoo, the show follows a group of friends and the antics they get up to before their friend’s wedding. It will also focus on a variety of topics, including the cost of living, battles with car guards and touchy subjects like relationships with mothers-in-law and wives.

The show will be performed at 20h00 in the Theatre of Marcellus on 28 January and tickets are priced from R120 per person (regret no children under the age of 16 years will be permitted). The hotel say at Mondeor is nice. Rooms always clean. Staff ate friendly. Buffet breakfast is pleasant with a wide selection of fruit, pastries, cereal, warm breakfast food like eggs, bacon, sausages etc. Coffee, teas, water and fruit juice available. Casino is vibrant with lots of restaurants for every need.

The conference centre service was lacklustre and the facilities are somewhat dated. The conference centre is close to the airport, but a nightmare to get to from anywhere else because of traffic.

Not so much the whole of Emperors Palace, more our hotel within it as there are many. It is rated 5 star but, sheets were dirty and service took forever.
