PRESS RELEASE

Pug Rescue charity concert with Corlea and Friends

Wednesday, June 3, 2015

The talented singer and Patron of Pug Rescue South Africa, Corlea Botha, will perform in a charity concert in the Theatre of Marcellus on 26 June and has invited her good friends, Jannie Moolman and Monique to perform with her. Together they will perform to raise funds for Pug Rescue South Africa and its Thanda Inja Community Outreach Project in the Gabon Informal Settlement in Daveyton, Benoni.

Pug Rescue South Africa, a registered animal welfare organisation, shares their expertise and resources to assist in excess of 1 000 dogs and cats from the Gabon Informal Settlement living at the Pug Rescue sanctuary in Benoni. The organisation assists these vulnerable animals with veterinary care, sterilisation, feeding and education.

“If it was not for the Thanda Inja Project the dogs and cats in the impoverished Gabon Informal Settlement would have no access to veterinary care and support”, says Cheryl Gaw, President of Pug Rescue SA. “The charity concert guarantees a night to remember with the best voices South Africa has to offer, while at the same time assisting in improving the lives of those who have no voice”, concludes Gaw.

The show will be performed at 20h00 and tickets are available at R130 per person. Dinner and show packages are available at R310 per person. For bookings, contact the Emperors Palace Box Office on 011 928 1297/1213 or visit www.emperorspalace.com or www.computicket.com.
