A pulse-racing, sensory feast of dance and music will leave audiences in awe from 16 July to 9 August in the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace. Beautiful is an extravaganza of epic proportions that will take each show-goer on a scintillating ride featuring a fabulous musical soundtrack arranged by Johan Laas combined with emotive choreography by Gerald van Vuuren. The production is fuelled by a sensual and sexy mixture of showgirls, dancers and singers, who will entertain audiences with tastefully artistic routines, guaranteed to leave some a little hot under the collar.
The show spectacular will offer a little bit of everything and the impressive music repertoire will include performances of Uptown Funk, Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend and Have You Met Miss Jones. Audiences can expect everything from foot stomping fun to dreamlike adages that will see the dancers adorned in 600 extravagant costumes, created by Elmarie Jacobs that barely hug their bodies.
The impressive team of singers, who collectively have performed over 14 years in over 40 countries, will be led by singer, songwriter and power-house performer, Keeniatta. This South African born entertainer has been described as awesome by the Washington Post after her impressive performance at The Obama Inauguration after-party. Keeniatta will be joined by songwriter and performer Stephen Hayes, and dazzling artists Rene Mabotha and Jace Dean.
Beautiful will be the hottest show this winter and will offer all the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood-style production. Performances will take place Thursdays at 20h00; Fridays at 21h00; Saturdays at 17h00 and 21h00; and on Sundays at 14h00 and 17h00.
