Every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. Yet, many children in South Africa begin school without access to quality Early Childhood Development (ECD), limiting their opportunities before formal education even begins.

Recognising this need, Peermont Hotels Casinos and Resorts has committed R5‑million over three years through the Peermont Children’s Trust (PCT) to strengthen ECD in Thembisa. This investment has already upgraded five centres, supported 20 practitioners, and enabled 25 more to begin accredited NQF Level 6 training in Grade R Teaching.

Partnering with Afrika Tikkun Bambanani (ATB), the initiative delivers world‑class resources, teacher development, and the internationally certified Bambanani Curriculum, a play‑based programme aligned with South Africa’s National Curriculum Framework.

Principals and practitioners from centres including Thembelihle Day Care, Helping Hands Day Care, Enjabulweni Creche & Preschool, Mercyful Angels Day Care and Nyeleti Day Care have completed intensive training, receiving comprehensive teaching materials and resource kits to inspire curiosity, creativity and problem‑solving in young learners.

This partnership is more than an investment in classrooms, it’s an investment in children, families, and the future of the Thembisa community. Together, PCT and ATB are laying the foundation for stronger ECD centres, empowered practitioners, and brighter futures for South Africa’s children.

Great place for family, lots of restaurants to choose from ,vegetarian and Halal options available at some restaurants, 4dx cinema, conference space and hotels, ample parking, gaming area and kids safe area incase you need some alone time, you do pay I think per hour per child but its very safe ,comfortable and clean ,I don't remember the age allowed.
