Peermont Alumni Get Together

On the 22 June 2019 Jenny Findlay, PET Trust manager, hosted a meeting for the Peermont Alumni at Emperors Palace. The Peermont group has funded full scholarships for local youth from local areas for the past 18 years. The purpose of the meeting was to catch up with past graduates and record their progress in the workplace. It was pleasantly surprising to realise that the Alumni have progressed well in their various professions. For example, Mishael Mashele (funded by SHCDT) has been elected Chairman of the South African Institute of Mechanical Engineers (SAIMechE, Mphumalanga branch) and Nthabiseng Malaka (funded by PET) was nominated for a Naledi Award. Many of the Peermont Alumni also give of their time to give back to the communities from where they hail. This is yet another example of how Peermont continues to give back.
