PRESS RELEASE
Mandela Day 2019
Friday, July 19, 2019
In keeping with Emperors Palace’s Mandela Day slogan this year of #Action Against Poverty the resort and casino’s staff gave their 67 minutes by visiting the Matthew Ukhozi Foundation in Reiger Park on Thursday morning, July 18. Apart from a Palace of Dreams team doing substantial maintenance work to the interim premises of the foundation, which is a haven to about 250 children a big donation of line, duvets and towels was also made. In addition the Palace of Dreams’ Complex Operations Executive, Clive Tavener (right) joined other staff like Monique-Surei Poolman (left) and the resort and casino’s Human Resources Manager, Ann Gradidge (middle) in giving all the children, like Khloe Olivier, Kemishetso Maleke and Waydene Bridger beanies, scarves and gloves to keep them warm this winter and a toy. The children were also treated to a delicious warm lunch, juice, snacks and a magic show.
