Charity Mile Gives Back

During a visit to Turffontein Racecourse on Thursday afternoon, October 17 these two learners from Welamlambo Primary School After Care Centre in Tembisa, Makhosi Mokalapa (10) and Tracy Mnguni (12) got their hands on the trophy that will be up for grabs in this year’s Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile to be run at Turffontein on Saturday, November 2. Welamlambo Primary School After Care Centre is one of the beneficiaries of the event which will see 16 charities affiliated to 16 celebrities and 16 top-class racehorses with the worthy causes taking home a share of R1-million with the amount determined by the position each charities’ affiliated horse finishes in the race.
