Boxing is Back in 2023

On Thursday, January 26 promoter Rodney Berman’s Golden Gloves announced the first big fight night of the year at Emperors Palace will be the 'Peril at The Palace Box and Dine Tournament on Saturday, March 18 which will feature a host of Ekurhuleni boxing talents. Among the fighters who will be in action on the night are Gerhard Thysse, Roarke Knapp, Ricardo Malajika, Shervantaaigh Koopman and Keanu Koopman who are pictured here with their trainer, Vusi Mtolo (third left), at the bill announcement for the tournament at the Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy in Edenvale. While opponents for all the fighters haven’t been finalised the big news is Knapp will fight Frenchman, Ahmed El Mousaoul for the International Junior Middleweight belt and Malajika will face Adrian Lerasan of the Philippines in an eight-round Junior Bantamweight contest. In addition, Shervantaaigh Koopman will come up against Jackson Kaptein of Bloemfontein for the SA Junior Middleweight title.

Attended an awards ceremony for IEB grade 12 graduates from Curro Holdings.
The MC was fantastic. The food was great but most of all, the staff were polite, very professional and accommodating to help.
