Dreamer Becomes Chef for a Day

On 20 September, The Palace of Dreams had the pleasure of hosting another Reach for a Dream Dreamer, creating a truly memorable day for a special young girl. This inspiring initiative, aimed at uplifting children facing serious health challenges, gave 12-year-old Nompumelelo the opportunity to live her dream and step into the role of a chef for a day in the kitchen of the Peermont Mondior Hotel at Emperors Palace

Nompumelelo, joined by her family, had the unique experience of working alongside the hotel’s chefs, gaining a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the hospitality world. Wearing her own apron and chef’s hat, Nompumelelo prepared a delightful array of dishes, including DISHES, which she shared with her family.

The day’s highlight was the fulfilment of another of Nompumelelo’s dreams when she was surprised with a new laptop, adding the perfect touch to an extraordinary day. Emperors Palace remains committed to making a positive impact in the lives of Reach for a Dream children and their families, demonstrating that even the smallest gestures can leave a lasting impression.
