July saw Clive Tavener appointed new General Manager at the Palace of Dreams.

“It’s all about creating magical experiences for our customers,” comments Clive Tavener, the newly appointed General Manager at Emperors Palace Hotel, Casino, Convention and Entertainment Resort. Tavener is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and plays a vital role in strategic planning, along with sourcing new business and growth opportunities.

“I look forward to leading a highly-skilled team at Emperors Palace, and in creating an exciting destination where customers can escape to - reaffirming our reputation as The Palace of Dreams,” says Tavener.

Tavener brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held the position of General Manager at Peermont’s Umfolozi Resort (Empangeni), in addition to overseeing the group’s Graceland Resort (Secunda), Frontier Inn (Bethlehem) and Mondazur (South Coast) properties as Regional Manager.  He was also the General Manager at Rio Resort (Klerksdorp) and in 2015 took over the responsibilities of Operations Executive at Peermont Global Botswana.
